Cavani joins PSG in league record deal

Leonardo to quit PSG role
Records were broken in the French League on Tuesday when PSG spent a reported chart-topping 64 million euros for Napoli striker Edison Cavani.
The Uruguay hitman signed a five-year contract with the French capital club after passing a medical the same day.
The 26-year-old is the latest big-money signing for PSGand said he’s thrilled to be at such an ambitious club on the domestic and European stage.
He said: ‘‘To be honest as a player I always want to win, always. To me this is a club that lots of players would like to play for. It is a world class club and it is among those clubs who can fight for the champions league and win it.’‘
Cavani scored 78 league goals in three seasons with Napoli, whom he joined from Palermo.
He will now link up with Sweden international and the club’s top scorer last season Zlatan Ibrahimovic in what will surely be the French topflight’s most formidable strike force next term.
