The Nigerian Army had just killed a senior member of the Islamic terror group, Boko haram in a joint operation with the State Security Services (SSS) in a terrorist hide-out in Sokoto state, after a tip-off.
The Commander of 1 Brigade, Nigerian Army, Sokoto, Brigadier-General Tasi’u Ibrahim, said that the incident took place in Gidan-Dare, near Sokoto and that one suspect was also captured alive.

Five of the secured are women, two of them are pregnant and rest are children. “The pregnant women are now receiving Ante-natal care at the Army’s clinic.”.
The commander said the operation was carried out after a tip-off, adding that ”the house was being used as a terrorist hide-out’’.
