Grammy Award-winning rapper Eminem has just dropped his new song "Survival" featuring Liz Rodrigues and produced by DJ Khalil for his forthcoming eighth studio album due later this year. Hours before the debut, the tune was earlier heard in the trailer for video game "Call of Duty: Ghosts".
"The song's about fighting back and it seems like it fits 'Ghosts' perfectly," the rapper said during the Activision press conference for the new video game. "I'm gonna be a big part of the game. My new song's in it, got a video dropping for it soon too."
"Survival" marks Eminem's return to recording, a much-anticipated comeback since his last album "Recovery". The CD was released in 2010 and carried such hits as "Not Afraid" and "Love the Way You Lie". Last month, he made a feature on DJ Tony Touch's track "Symphony in H" off mixtape "Piecemaker 3: The Return of the 50 MCs".
Eminem is slated to headline this year's Pukkelpop Festival alongside rock band Nine Inch Nails set to take place from August 15-17, in Kiewit, Belgium. It will mark the 40-year-old artist's return to the Belgian music fest following his 2011 fatal stage collapse on the first day that eventually led to that year's event cancellation. After the upcoming gig, he will play three shows in Europe alongside a support cast of hip-hop artists led by Kendrick Lamar.
