The holding midfielder has praised his team-mate, as well as insisting that the Catalans are not thinking about the Clasico just yet
Sergio Busquets has highlighted the importance of Carles Puyol to Barcelona as the experienced defender gets set to make his return from injury.

The 35-year-old centre-back has yet to make his first official appearance for the Blaugrana this term, but could return to match action in this weekend's La Liga clash against Osasuna, much to the delight of his fellow Spain international.

"Carles is the captain and he’s super important, both on the pitch and in the dressing room," Busquets said at a press conference.

"He’s been out of action for a long time and he’s very close to coming back. We know that he always gives us a lot."

Busquets also briefly discussed the upcoming Clasico against Real Madrid, stressing that Barca are focused on this weekend's game against Osasuna.

"The match on Saturday is very important and we, the players, know that we first have to play Osasuna, they are a tough team to beat at home," the holding midfielder explained.

"We’ve always had a hard time in their stadium, but we’ll try to come back with the three points. A victory in Pamplona will better help us approach the Clasico."

Barcelona face Madrid at Camp Nou on October 26.
