First Week Sales Projections For Eminem's "The Marshall Mathers LP 2"

 

 

 

 

Eminem on track for his 7th consecutive No. 1 album.

 It appears Eminem is going to rock the Billboard charts next week. His new album, The Marshall Mathers LP 2, is on course to earn the second-largest sales week of the year and debut at No. 1.
According to Billboard, Industry sources are forecasting that Em's new album will sell between 700,000 and 750,000 copies in its first week. If those numbers hold true, that should be good for the second-biggest sales week of the year for an album, surpassed only by the debut of Justin Timberlake's The 20/20 Experience, which opened with 968K in March. The year's second-biggest week is currently owned by Drake's Nothing Was the Same, which entered at No. 1 with 658,000 units moved.
The projections, which are based on data such as orders from retailers, digital sales data and other indicators, suggest that MMLP2 will closely follow the performance of 2010's Recovery, which debuted at No. 1 with 741,000 first week sales.
The official sales number for The Marshall Mathers LP 2 will be announced on Nov. 13th. This will be Eminem's seventh consecutive No. 1 album. #RapGod?
